A Yemeni woman discovered by chance that she had a rare genetic disease when she fell unconscious while performing Umrah in Makkah.
The Saudi newspaper, Al-Madina, said that the Heart Center team in King Abdullah City had succeeded in saving the life of that woman, whose identity has not been revealed.
The “Makkah Al-Mukarramah Health Cluster” also explained that the case was received urgently after providing first medical aid to her at Al-Haram Hospital, where she fell unconscious in the Great Mosque of Mecca while performing the rituals of Umrah, and the occurrence of cyanosis and a severe lack of blood oxygen.
Upon conducting the necessary examinations and x-rays, it was found that she suffers from a rare genetic disease called (Epstein) that she did not know about in advance.

This birth defect leads to serious health problems that make the heart work less efficiently.
